This has been a very exciting year. We've launched a new company, added new products to the line……and added TWO new brands to the company.
Funky Monkey is our non-customizable brand/label. It's full of wonderful products like Pulse Point Oils, Bath & Shower Jelly, Lip Scrubs, Lip Butters, Lip Glosses and many other skin fabulous items. Funky Monkey products may not be completely customizable but that does not make them any less appealing. Customers are LOVING it all.
Salon Formulary …… This is our Salon Exclusive brand. The products in this brand line were developed specifically for Nail Techs and other Salon Professionals. It is all only available through authorized Salons. Salons can now also enjoy some customizable options for their retail products. Minimums may apply for custom scents…..but now Salons can have a professional brand that is custom scented with their own Signature Scent.
We anticipate a lot more changes in the coming months so stay tuned!!

Flattery......or NOT???
Beware & Be careful please: They say that imitation is the best form of flattery....we would strongly disagree.
It has been brought to our attention that there is another local company that has been leading people to believe that they are working WITH Tickled Pink Formulary and somehow affiliated with Tickled Pink Formulary AND copying us in many different ways (using our color scheme, similar products, similar damask pattern, similar website layout/template and outright copy and pasting the content of our website and our consultant/designer agreement onto theirs). All of our content is copyrighted to us (registered with the Library of Congress this year but it has all been in printed and digital format since 2007 - and yes, we have proof) and steps have been taken to have our content removed from their website.
With that said, please be careful when signing up with companies to sell for them or even to host parties. Do your homework. Check them out. If they claim to carry medical degrees (such as RN or MD), check them out with your state. If they are making elaborate promises, check them out to see if they have actually followed through on those promises and if they are even in a financial position to follow through with those promises (such as claims to provide a $30,000 car or $200,000 home when you reach a certain level within the company). Tickled Pink Formulary has NOT made any promises to designers, or future designers, that we do not have the ability to follow through with. We have NOT promised cars, homes, diamonds, quick rich schemes, etc. But we DO promise to provide a fair commission for sales that our designers and their downline make. We DO promise to always deliver quality products and support for our designers. And as the company grows and can follow through with larger bonuses they WILL be made available.......but we will NOT make these types of promises without first having the financial means to back them up. You will NEVER be misled by our founder as we believe in FULL disclosure.
And by all means, if you think you are doing business with one of OUR consultants/designers feel free to contact us at our Home Office to check them out. Our authorized consultants will be properly represented by the use of our Independent Designer only logo and adslicks. And we will do whatever is necessary to protect our name, our reputation and that of each of our designers.

Back Office Training Day
It's Training Day for Mel!!!
I am getting training for the Designer Back Office area today. Wish me luck today ya'll. Bryan has been working diligently on this system for us. He's added lots of great features that will make the ordering process so very simple. Once my training is complete, the shopping cart on the front end of the main site will no longer be there. Instead, there will be product information pages.
Why no front end shopping cart? Why product information pages instead? Because we support our DESIGNERS. We want our customers to go to our Designers for service. And, because this is such a custom product that requires actually smelling the fragrances that it is important that every customer is assigned to their own personal Independent Scent Designer.
We want only the best for our Designers.

Welcome Barbara Merritt - Founding Designer
Welcome Barbara Merritt to the Formulary family as one of our Founding Designers. I am so glad to have Barbara join us. I think I've met someone that is as excited about mixing and blending the fragrances as I am. LOL Barbara came by the office and picked up her kit last thursday and it was such a pleasure meeting her.
FYI, our Founding Designers will be getting lots of extra goodies with their kits and will be involved in a LOT of new product R&D as we move along. There are already several new lines of products that I want to introduce and am excited to have our Founding Designers in on it all. :-)

Consultant Back Office
YAY!!!! Our new consultant back office and affiliate areas are nearly completed.
For those of you who may not know....here's a quick update....
After getting things going and all our products set up in the shopping cart along with the "wholesale" area for our consultants......it became very obvious that the system we originally selected was not going to be workable for use with a Home Party/Direct Sales type of business. So on to search for a better and more efficient software.
After looking everywhere and checking out all the systems I realized that what I needed did not already exist in entirety and that I really needed a custom system to better serve TPF consultants. I was looking for something that would be user friendly not only for our consultants, but also for me and my staff that will be handling order fulfillment.
Thankfully, I went to high school (yes, many many many years ago LOL) with some very smart folks. A very good friend of mine from back "in the day" happens to be brilliant when it comes to writing and customizing software. So to the rescue he came. Bryan Williamson of www.altetudes.com has been working diligently the past several weeks to get our new system up and running. He has put up with me and all my constant questions, tweaks, requests, etc. But in the end, when he is all finished, we are going to have one AWESOME system in place for our consultants.

A Lot of "Firsts" this week
This week has been amazing so far.....
FIRST VENDOR SHOW:
Over the weekend we went to our first vendor show.....learned a lot.....figured out some new things we want to do to the booth to make it POP more at the next event....met some amazing people.....generated a LOT of interest in our products and biz opp.

And we had our first professional pictures taken of all of our products and kits. That was exciting. It made it all seem so very real.
FIRST OFFICIAL FOUNDING CONSULTANT SIGNED UP:
The most exciting part about this week so far is that we have officially signed up our very first FOUNDING CONSULTANT!!! Yay!!! Erika Hess in Clayton, NC is our first consultant. We have several others submitting applications but Erika's was the first to be completed and turned in. Erika will be getting some really great things included in with her kit just for being the first consultant!!

Adding a Splash of Color
Starting a new business is always a fun journey.......especially when it involves so many wonderful fragrances and.......COLORS!!!! I was not originally planning to offer color as an option with our products. This is mainly because I am not one that is drawn to colored body care products. I prefer mine to be clear or white.....and with a hint of glitter. :-) But I know that just because I don't like color doesn't mean others won't. And I've got to say......while I may not like color in my products, I had a TON of FUN playing around with them yesterday and adding them to our samples so I could decide on the colors we will keep in the lineup and determining how much color for each. I'll post a picture later today.

Vision & Purpose
Whew.....what a journey this has been for me with this new business venture.....Tickled Pink Formulary, LLC.
But WHAT is this Formulary I speak of , you may ask????
It is only the very BEST in custom scented bath and body products. We have very carefully selected (and produced) only the finest in bath and body product bases.....and then we added 115 fragrances for you to choose from to CREATE YOUR OWN custom scent recipe. And the best part of all is that you can make money while having fun.....yep....we have launched the Formulary as a home party plan type of company with TWO kit options available.
But it's been a long walk since last November taken by the Formulary Founder, Melodie Hand. After going through the planning process for a couple of years Mel was ready to start actually working on the foundations of the company......packaging had been selected, base products had been selected and now it was all the other stuff in between that needed to be filled in (purchasing, label creation, consultant guide rewrite, all the paperwork creation, etc). A partner and co-founder had been considered. But Mel soon figured out that having help with the company did not mean a partner was necessary. Mel's original vision and ideas were getting drawn too far off track. So that idea was squashed and you now have ONE Founder with a very focused vision and a purpose for the Formulary......

We want women, and men, all over to feel pampered. And we are a company founded on Christian principals and created by a woman for women. We have set out to provide a viable business opportunity for women everywhere.
